A Love Affair with M/V Doulos and Books

Last January, we went to M/V Doulos. We rode on a jeep. There were two jeepneys in each section. The first years and second years were the first batch to go there. We were so noisy at the jeep because only only Mme. Montaño was around. Mme. Montaño was worried because our shouts might distract the driver of the jeep. Finally, we arrived and saw M/V Doulos. I realized that it was not really a big boat. I thought at first that its really big that's why I was excited to see it. We formed a line in going upstairs because the book store, which was our first destination, was located there. I was frightened by a bald man who suddenly appeared. He said he is a sea man. He instructed us to keep quite when we are on board. I thought he was only joking when he said, "'Wag kayong maingay kundi sasampalin ko kayo." But he looked very serious. We went to the book store. We looked for dictionaries and fairy tale story books. After that, Danica invited me to go with her to the "mini-canteen" of the ship. She bought me a juice.Then, there was a sign on the door of the book store saying, "No re-entry". We were very worried because we wanted to go back to the book store. Instead of crying, we toured at the boat. We found many ways for us to go back to the book store. Until we reached another book store that was selling old books and tapes. There was a corner there wherein you could see the sea. We found Elmar, Queenie and Leejee on the other side. The scene was very romantic. I wanted to also witness their date. I asked the man there if how could I go there because the stairs going to that place was fenced by a rope. The man said, "Ambak lang dira!". I immediately believed him. I jumped over the rope and reached the other side. Gener also followed. He was seen by a Korean girl who was the salesgirl of the book store. She called Gener. Gener and I were very nervous. We ran towards the book store. Gener ran inside the book store while I hid in the comfort room. A few minutes later, I went out of the comfort room with my knees shaking. We went downstairs. I was pretending to be innocent. We waited a few seconds and fell in line again. Our next destination was the conference hall of the boat. Another school was also there. We all had fun. At the end of the program, we were given small books. We went downstairs. After a few minutes, the jeepneys arrived. We all went back to UP. We were still very noisy. When we reached SSS, there was a woman who rode on the jeep. She thought the jeep was not used. We just ignored her. When the jeep entered UP, her face was very puzzled. I laughed and laughed at her. She got down of the jeepney and rode another jeep. Indeed, it was my busiest day!!! Hay...!
